Amputee Actor Auditions for World Premiere Terry Fox Musical
“Marathon of Hope: The Musical,” is a ground-breaking, world premiere theatrical event that will take audiences on an inspiring and uplifting journey based on the life and legacy of Terry Fox. This triumphant new musical examines and celebrates the tenacity of the human spirit with unflinching honesty, grit and grace as it chronicles the hero’s unprecedented cross-Canada marathon for cancer research.
This landmark event is being produced by Drayton Entertainment, one of Canada’s most successful professional theatre companies. Drayton Entertainment is currently searching for amputee actors to play the following roles:
TERRY FOX: A single, above-knee amputee male actor who sings (tenor range) to play Terry from age 18-22.
GREG SCOTT: A single, above-knee amputee male or female child actor who sings to play a 10 year-old cancer patient who inspired Terry along his journey.
Rehearsals and performances will be in Cambridge, Ontario at The Dunfield Theatre. Rehearsals begin September 15, 2016 with performances from October 5 – October 30, 2016.
