What's New?MID-ISLAND AMPUTEE SUPPORT GROUP We would like to draw your attention to an amputee group which is open to the public and welcomes new members at every monthly meeting. We provide information about services and discounts available to amputees, as well as provide a friendly forum to discuss personal issues about our amputations. Our members have found the confidential forum helpful for troubleshooting problems and venting concerns when family and friends aren’t always aware of the trials and tribulations surrounding amputations. No matter how long you have had your amputation or what kind of loss you have experienced, everyone is welcome, whether to provide support to others or receive support for yourself. Membership is free and carries no personal commitment – we’re here for you! Our monthly meetings are held at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, the first Thursday of every month at 4 pm.
